The Shawangunk Wine Trail is home to a lucky-thirteen wineries, all nestled among the magnificent Shawangunk Mountains and the mighty Hudson River, just sixty miles north of New York City.
Each winery is unique in its own way, producing different styles of award-winning wines, distilled spirits, and hard ciders right here in New York State’s beautiful Hudson Valley. Acres of lush vines and intriguing wineries, from the cozy to the expansive, are all part of the Trail experience.
The intimate, family-owned wineries are small to medium in size, and are located from Warwick, Orange County, at the southern end of the Trail, to New Paltz, Ulster County, at the northern edge.
What visitors will find at each member winery is a friendly welcome and a sincere desire to provide a fun and enjoyable tasting experience.
This special issue of Hudson Valley Wine Magazine features all thirteen wineries and outlines some of the attractions in the area, which is the closest wine region to the city in New York State. As you follow the Trail, you’ll find the Hudson Valley has it all!
