Shawangunk Wine Trail

Established in 1984 to promote the uniqueness of our terroir and rich history, the Shawangunk Wine Trail has become the premier wine region in New York’s Hudson Valley. Home to some of the oldest vineyards in the country, with winemaking traditions dating back to the 17th century when the French Huguenots first planted grapevines in the area.

The Shawangunk Wine Trail isn’t just about wine—it’s about experiencing the history, culture, and natural beauty of the Hudson Valley. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or a casual explorer, there’s something for everyone.

Shawangunk Wine Trail is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization comprising 13 independently owned and operated wineries, distilleries, and cideries in the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York State.
