Since 1987, Rivendell Winery has attracted the attention of wine judges and enthusiasts alike for our varietal wines made under the Rivendell and SoHo Cellars labels: Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; our popular regional blends: City Cab, Northern Lights, Southern Nights, Interlude Blush and Apres...; and our seasonal specialty wines: Undead Red, Elfen Red and Cranboise and Sangria. Over the years we have wone numerous gold, silver and bronze awards in national and international competitions, including the Governor's Cup in 2004 for NEW YORK's BEST WINE, the same year we were awarded the Best Red, Best Merlot, Best Cabernet Sauvignon, Best Riesling and Best White Blend in the Hudson Valley Wine Competition. Rivendell wines have been a trend-setter in a new era of NY winemaking.
There is plenty to do and see on Rivendell's 50 beautiful acres. The property is park-like, featureng a glass enclosed tasting room with panoramic views of the valley, a fireplace for indoor tastings and year 'round picnics, a deli-case stocked with artisanal foods of the region and a large gift shop.
But the best part is the Tasting! Alongside our 15 Rivendell and SoHo Cellars wines, we offer other Vintage New York™ Selections - dozens of unique boutique wines hand selected from around the state. All of which are available to sample and buy.
There is always something going on at Rivendell. We have a full schedule of events like the Cellar Tours with the Winemaker (March), The Adult Easter Egg Hunt, The May Fruit Wine Faire, Reds White & Blues July 4th Concert, and the popular Lobster Fest in September.
We also operate two Vintage New York™ Tasting Rooms in NYC; in Soho and the Upper West Side, and a terrific WineBar in Soho as well. Just like the winery, yet offering more than 200 New York artisanal wines from more than 65 NY wineries. All open 7 days. vintageny.com
